The grasshopper and the ants

During the winter, a swarm of ants had a large collection of grain they had dried during

summertime.

A starving grasshopper passed by and begged the ants for some food.

The ants asked, ''Why didn't you work to store some food during the summer?''

''I was too busy singing during the summer,'' said the grasshopper. ''How

could I find the time?"

The ants replied sternly, ''If you kept on singing for the whole summer and forgot about

storing some food, you can now dance away the winter!''

MORAL:
If you waste your time when it is important to prepare for the future, do not

expect others to help you.
